What we will do

• Compliment lecture materials with additional discussion of hard to understand things
• Solving problems, learning new tricks
• Discuss what is hidden behind equations (think like a physicist mentality)

Class expectations

5% of you Phys102 grade is participation grade in this section. Out of this 5%

• 3% attendance
• 2% how well you do on quizes and general interaction during the class

The easiest way to bump participation grade is to ask questions

If you have to miss the class

• Tell me in advance: I will ask no questions and you absence will be excused (unless it becomes a routine).
• After the fact:
  • medical excuse requires no extra work on your part
  • other reasons we will have to discuss, but I understand that occasionally there are unforeseen issues with family, friends, life conditions, etc.
  • no excuse: points will be dropped
