NOTE (June, 2007): This list was compiled in 1998 and has not been regularly updated. In early June, 2007, only a few links were still active. I have just updated several of the links. However, most institutions have some programs, and if you google the institution and the words 'dual career' or 'relocation', you'll find what they have. During the past few years, deans and provosts have become much more aware of the dual-career problem--apparently a majority of hires in physics now involve actively looking for hiring of a spouse. Even institutions without formal prgrams will often make arrangements. MS
