Word Processing Hints

You are free to use any word processor you like that does scientific equations. The choices include, but are not limited to LaTex, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, StarOffice, etc. As templates become available, they will show up here on this page. If you have a template you'd like to contribute, please let me know.

Final Electronic Format

You must turn in a version of your final thesis electronically as either postscript or pdf. If you are using TeX with Unix, producing postscript is easy and a matter of course. If you are using MS Word, you have two options: 1) write to a generic postscript printer and redirect to a file (the public labs on campus have such a driver installed); or 2) use a computer with PDFWriter installed and print to this device (most attempts to use an embedded pdf file-maker will fail or produce a file that is far too large). In all cases, I will test your electronic version and let you know if it is in any way non-standard.
