Physics 102 Survey

Dear Physics 102 students:

I would greatly appreciate a bit of feedback from you, to help improve the course in the future.

Since some of you might want to reply anonymously, I have created this survey form. The results get sent to me with no hint as to who submitted them...

If you have any problems with this survey please contact me at armd@physics.wm.edu.
Thank you for your input!

  1.     Homework Problem type

Some of the homework problems assigned have been "ordinary" problems from the end of the chapter problems in the textbook, while some of them have been the customized "MasteringPhysics" created problems that are not from the text. These latter include some pedagogical material ( i.e. the Hints) that are supposed to help lead you through to the solution if needed, and I'd like to know your thoughts on these. Please choose one of the following:
    I prefer the MasteringPhysics problems.
I prefer the problems that came straight from the text.
Physics problems are equally horrible either way, so I don't care.

Any additional comments? Please enter them in the box below.

  2.     Homework Due Date

What is your preference for when homework should be due? Since problem sessions are held Wednesdays and Thursdays, Wednesday evening would not be a good option... but other days are possible.

Please choose one of the following:
    Thursday at midnight.
    Friday at midnight.
    Saturday at midnight.
    Sunday at midnight.
    Monday at midnight.
    Tuesday at midnight.
Physics homework is equally horrible any day, so I don't care.

Any additional comments? Please enter them in the box below.

  3.     Problem Sessions

I view the weekly problem sessions as an essential part of the course. How regularly do you attend the problem sessions?

Please choose one of the following:
    Always.
    Often.
    Rarely.
Problem sessions? There are problem sessions? I never go...

If you don't always attend, why not? What could make them more useful to you?
