Spooky Action at a Distance
The 2022 Nobel prize in physics was awarded to three scientists who studied the most spooky and intriguing aspects of quantum mechanics and then showed how they can benefit our lives in a very real way. Professor Irina Novikova will attempt to explain what quantum entanglement is—this "spooky action at a distance"—and how it can be used to build practical quantum technologies with entangled photons. Please join us for our beloved PhysicsFest Nobel(-inspired) public lecture. This lecture is intended for a general audience.
