Study Chapter 6 in Hall.

1. Hall, Chap. 6, pg. 110, Exercise 8.

2. Hall, Chap. 6, pg. 111, Exercise 9.

3. Hall, Chap. 6, pg. 111, Exercise 12.

4. Hall, Chap. 6, pg. 111, Exercise 17.

5. Bernoulli's effect in a bathtub. Find a light, round object that floats. A plastic ball of diameter 1-3 inches is ideal, although a rubber duck or plastic bottle will work too. Add just enough water to a lavatory or bath so that the object can float freely (1-2 inches of water is enough). Now place the object underneath the faucet. What do you think will happen when you turn the water on? What actually happens? How can you explain this? What does this have to do with music?
